Fraser in the Wales Heart Research Institute and University Hospital of Wales. Further, he obtained accreditation of the European Association of Echocardiography in 2006. He had training in 3-D Echo in 2009 in Hongkong; IVUS and rotablation in 2010 in Miyasaki, Japan; renal denervation in Frankfurt, Germany in 2013 and percutaneous aortic valve replacement in Switzerland in 2013.

Dr. Rajiv has performed over 10,000 coronary angiograms (femoral/radial) and over 4000 angioplasty and stenting . He has performed a large number of complex coronary angioplasties including left main, complex bifurcations, calcified coronary lesions, chronic total occlusions and bypass graft angioplasties. He is also skillful in the use of coronary imaging (IVUS-intravascular ultrasound & OCT- Optical Coherence Tomography). He is well versed with the use of fractional flow reserve and rotablation for calcified coronary lesions. He has played a major part in carrying forward and expanding the aortic stent programme in the department started by its first chairman late Prof. K.K. Haridas. Sixty stent grafts including 10 hybrid procedures have been done so far (as in Dec 2013).
